Day 8, Whites Run Creek

I've painted this before from a photo I took on White's Run Creek near my home.

I'm finally starting to get it.

So far have never really been satisfied before, but I'm happy with this one.
Leslie, you will be happy to know that I painted all the skinny trees with a pallette knife!

Whooo Hoooo!

I am going to paint a painting with a pallette knife before this challenge is over, but not today.

Cold Creek
is a 7" x 5" acrylic on a ampersand board.

  1. You're a chicken painter and a snow painter! Your snow is awesome, and I really like how you did the water, and the grasses peeking thru the snow. And great idea to use a palette knife. I was thinking of doing a palette knife painting, too, in Leslie's honor. What kind of ampersand board do you use? I love the Aquabord, in fact, usually paint on those. Don't ask me why I started using stretched canvas for this challenge! Sharon, thanks so much, too, for what you said on my blog, means the world to me...
