Spring Painting At Jefferson Community Technical College

Way To Relax Before Finals

Our local community college,
Jefferson Community Technical College
has finals next week
and this week they are having different events to help
students relax before testing.

They sponsored a painting class
and 6 students took advantage of this opportunity.

Here we are using a hair dryer to dry our paint
so we can move on.

Having lots of fun!

Painting is therapy!
You don't think about anything else going on in you're life,
just where do I want to put the paint.

Here we all are with our bird's nest and eggs.

I had a wonderful time,
and I think they did too.

Good luck on your finals next week all!

Painting Birds Nests and a Horse

Fun Painting Classes Last Week

I had two classes scheduled this last week and
they were both at General Butler State Park
in Carrollton, KY

One class was on a Friday night and while we didn't have a huge crowd, we had fun painting regardless.

Jeanne hasn't painted in approximately 50 years or more.
She was very attentive had a great command of color and using her brush even after all that time.

We painted this fun birds nest.
I think she did a great job.

If you're looking for some entertainment, I'll be teaching the third Friday of every month through 2019,
at General Butler State Park at 7 p.m. on the mezzanine
in the lodge.
Go to their website and you can see what we'll be painting several weeks in advance.
Join us!

Then. . .

I had a great group Monday, April 22 in the afternoon
also at General Butler State Park.

This large group was all primed to paint a derby horse and the spires of Churchill Downs.

Judy won this painting I did at Christy's Candles in Madison, IN.

Here's our group shot.
We had a great time and I think everyone hopes to do it again.

It's funny when you look at all these paintings.
Everyone had the same basic instruction,
but
they are all different
just like these ladies.

Hopefully you'll be joining us painting at Butler sometime soon.

Spring is Definitely On It's Way

Finally!

Spring Is Definitely On It's Way

This is a painting I did several years ago.

I never liked that forsythia bush in the front left.

Hidden Spring
10" x 8" Acrylic on a panel, unframed.
$50 + $8 shipping

So I worked on that bush and I'm much happier now.

Spring in Kentucky is beautiful.
We have dogwoods, phlox, redbuds, forsythia, crocus, tulips, daffodils of all sorts, and many other flowers.

This painting represents all of the beauty we have here.

Thanks for stopping by today.
