I love painting these jars.
We love to have fresh flowers from the yard in our house
and my husband always loves to put them in the jars.
I recently bought a jar lamp and I had to put the two of them together on our table.
Well, you know what happened next.
I HAD to paint them.
I had to start out with a drawing first.

You can barely see the outline of the jars here,
but it helped me to get the composition correctly.
I had my color wheel out on this one.

I had my color wheel out on this one.
I used the color of the jars as the main colors
and then used complementary colors for the background.
Getting the glass transparent takes some doing
but it is lots of fun and when you get it, it's wonderful.
