2018 - Here We Go!

Let's Go!

I'm a goal setter!
And every year I set goals
with specific steps to accomplish those goals.

Some years I do better than others.
Last year I stayed on top of some goals,
and some, not so much.

Do you have some goals that show up every year?
I do.
I've had "lose weight" on my list for several years.
I had an exercise and meal plan laid out.
Well,
I pretty much stuck with the exercise plan,
but the meal plan went by the way side.
But now that I have the exercise thing down,
This is the year I get the eating thing down too.

In my art, I accomplished several of my goals.

I got my new studio up and running.

I held art classes and art camps -

Had lots of fun here this summer.

Spent several Fridays teaching Blaire.
A great little 4-year old.

I painted some interesting pieces of furniture.

Painted this on a cedar chest my uncle made for my mom
in about 1948.

I painted an old rocking chair for a friend.

I re-did this vintage magazine rack.

I taught many classes with local schools.

I taught June how to paint these flowers on her basket,

We had a lot of fun in the Blue Iris Studio.

I painted some paintings I am proud of...

I got my Etsy shop back up and fully stocked with art, vintage and and dolls and crafting supplies.

I wrote a lot of blog posts,
many of which were my Motivational Monday posts.
Check off that goal!

I hope you have checked out and enjoyed my new tab
of 10 minute art lessons.

Check off that goal.

So while there were lots of goals and things I didn't accomplish,
there were many things I did accomplish.

I'm sure that's how it was with you too.

We plan, we work, we try,
we fail, we forget, we goof up,
Then,
we try again,
and again,
and again.

And then we might have to back up
and try again.
But that's OK.
I believe we should all look back at what we accomplished.
and celebrate any and all accomplishments.
Any and all successes!
Acknowledge the failures, but don't dwell on them.
Get over them!
Try again if you want!
Put them in the rear view mirror if you want!
But,
It's 2018
so let's buckle up
and make some art!

Thanks for stopping by
and I so appreciate your time and comments.
Have a great day!
