Day 8 Grandma's Flower Garden

Day 8 Grandma's Flower Garden
This is the cutest bear I found at a flea market a few weeks back.
I knew I was going to paint him as soon as I held him.
The colors are not great here,
I'll try scanning it like my fried Meredith does,
and hopefully I can get a likeness that's a little more correct.
His arms and legs are buttoned on which is why he is so squishy.
He is from an old quilt and is in excellent shape,
and of course the quilt pattern is,
Grandma's Flower Garden.

  1. Today, I am kind of fried, but how did you know??? Your bear painting is precious. I see you sold the Taking a Nap painting, too--congratulations!

  2. I can relate to the fried feeling. I'm sure I'll be painting him again. Thanks so much.

  4. No I didn't really know why, I just figured it was the weather and the challenge. What's the scoop?

    1. Because in your post you called me your "fried Meredith." I kind of like being your fried Meredith. Love it in fact!

  5. sorry. I usually read my posts two or three times to make sure I don't goof up, but every once in a while one gets past me. Glad you weren't offended. Too funny.

    1. No problem, I thought it was hysterical, and it was pretty true that day. I got a great laugh!
