Day 26 Snow Day
I've done pretty good so far not painting snow.
But,
yesterday when I went to my studio to paint,
I looked out the window and there was just a beautiful scene.
I can say beautiful,
because I didn't have children home from school for the fifth day in a row
for a "Snow Day".
We have been inundated with snow, blowing snow, ice storms and extremely cold temps.

Your painting makes me shiver, so I guess it's quite effective! How was the wedding?
ReplyDeleteThanks Meredith. We've been shivering here since the first weekend in Dec. I like to paint snow and for whatever reason I sell a lot of snow scenes. This is a scene I see every day and I do love it. Wedding went great. You can see some pics on my fb page. I'll be writing a blog post about it soon.
DeleteBoy, if someone wanted the opportunity to paint snow, they need to visit our part of the world this year! It IS beautiful though isn't it? And you've painted it wonderfully. How lucky to have this beautiful view right outside your window!
ReplyDeleteThanks Terri. Our local kids haven't had snow days, they've had snow weeks. They might be going to school in July. It is a beautiful site out there though. Thanks again.
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful scene! Lovely that you can look out your window and see it..I thought it was a photo at first! Great job! You really captured a feeling in it:)
ReplyDeleteThanks Karen. I have a couple of beautiful scenes right outside my window but this won out this time.
