Really?
What Artist Does That?
Best Selling author, Stephen Covey wrote
7 Habits for Highly Effective People,
and I read it,
studied it,
loved it
and try to practice it.
However,
as an artist, sometimes we just don't know where we going with our art.
We start out thinking we're going this way and we end up going that way.
We zig when we thought we would zag.
There's nothing wrong with that!
It's just hard to plan sometimes.
Sometimes I intend to paint flowers,
but I get in the studio and something else speaks to me, or I pick up the brush and I can't paint a flower to save my soul that day.
So I go to another subject.
This mostly cool background spoke to me
and said
"hey, how about painting grapes on me?"

I wrote a post last week about photographing art
and just how frustrating it can be.
Like, lose your mind crazy.

Anyway . .
I listened to the background below
and painted grapes hanging on the vine.

We raise grapes, among other things
here on JumbleBerry Farm and I thought
grapes would be the perfect complement on this.
Let me know in the comments what you think?
Can you still see the background I started out with?

This is lovely! I can still see the background you started out with...especially the beautiful blue -green in the bottom right corner.
ReplyDeleteThanks for commenting Karen. That's the part that's most visible to me also. Art is like a box of chocolates. You just never know what you're going to get. hehehehe
