Day 1 - The Painting Has Begun
My theme for this challenge is, "Scenes From My Front Door"
Well, this is the front door of River Run Gallery Fun Art Studio,
the gallery I opened in July of this year.
The building is close to 100 years old and is only nine feet wide
but 53 feet wide.
It is perfect for a gallery.
I just had a new artist come in over the weekend so that makes four.
We have jewelry, fiber art, encaustic and photographic journals, and my paintings.
It's a fun place to hang out and I hope many more of you do in the future.
On Friday at noon, we have free Lunch and Learn,
where you can bring your lunch, take a seat and watch me work on whatever I'm working on.
Here's a link to the September classes we're having.
Click here to see the calendar page on the gallery blog.
While you're there, why not sign up to receive it in your inbox,
then you'll always know what's going on in the gallery.
One last plug,
This Friday, September 5, from 4-8 p.m. we are having our very first opening reception
for jeweler Mary Ebert.
She'll have her latest work on display, you can meet her and talk shop or jewelry,
or whatever.
