Art, beautiful art.

Why Should I (You) Purchase Original Art?

Why should I or anyone purchase original art?  There are lots of reasons you should at least consider original art, some of which are; you like it, it speaks to you, you like it, it reminds you of something or someplace, you like it, you have just the place for it, you like it.
I’d go for the “I like it” option.  No need to explain it to someone else or justify it.  I like it is enough.  If you know why you like it, that’s great, but you don’t have to.
So why should I buy original art instead of a print?
There is a certain amount of prestige that comes with owning an original. But it’s the one the artist painted on.  They handled it. They had an idea.  They composed it.  They drew it.  They probably changed things on it.  They might have painted over it.  They signed it when they were finally finished.
Prints have their place because of their affordability, but a piece of original art that you like, brings pleasure and enjoyment every time you look at it.  Every time you feel the brush strokes on it.  Feel the different thicknesses of the paint on it.
Admit it.  You like it.
