Host A Party

How To Host A Party

A painting party is a great
birthday celebration,
 reunion event,
child's birthday party,
wedding shower,
baby shower,
team building,
or just to have fun.

This was a group of 3rd-5th graders I taught recently at Cartmell Elementary.
Yes!  They painted Van Gogh's Starry Night in an hour.

Don't they look like they had fun?

I have several size canvases to choose from:

20" x 16" - $40 per person - about 2 hours
11" x 14" - $35 per person - about 2 hours
8" x 10" -  $25 per person - about 1 hour

I can come to your home or other venue,
and you can serve your own food and drinks.

If I come to your home, I supply everything you need for your group to complete an agreed upon painting, even table covers.
You supply the tables and chairs.

I'll also need access to a sink for water during the painting session and to dispose of that water and clean out brushes following the session.

There is a minimum of 6 participants required
for a party at your venue.

I'll travel to Oldham county free of charge.
Anything out of that county is $.35 per mile.

Sundays are not available.

I require 50% down when the appointment is confirmed and the remaining 50% the day of the party.
If you contract for a party of 6 and only 4 show up,
the charge will be for the complete party of 6.

I accept checks, cash or plastic.

These parties are a ball and I try to make sure everyone has a great time and takes home a work of art they are happy with.
I take pictures and videos during the party and write a blog post about it afterward and share it on social media.

You can reach me at 502-523-0663 and leave a message.
I only answer numbers I recognize, so leave a message and I'll call you back.

Below are samples of some of the paintings available.
I am always open to your ideas and requests.
These are just a few of the many classes I've taught.
If you have an idea, by all means, let's talk.

The top three are from children's parties I've had.

This is so fun because it is rather abstract and children can go in so many directions as far as their color choices.

 Girls love this!

I've taught this to several classes of boys.
They have the option of different initials or colors
and it is adaptable for different sports
and color schemes.

For children's parties, I usually have a rough sketch on each canvas when class starts.  This gives them the confidence to go ahead and paint.  On a painting like the above flowers that is very abstract, I don't because I teach them how to get them on there as part of the lesson.

This is always a crowd pleaser,
and can be done pretty quickly.
I've never had this class go longer than 1 1/2 hours.

A Derby Hat is always fun if the timing is right.

This primitive watering can and vines
is another crowd favorite.

These are just a few, and I am always open to your parties needs and requests.  The above paintings are just to get your juices flowing on what can be done.  Most paintings can be adapted to either the 20" x 16" or the 11" x 14" or the most popular 8" x 10" size.

So now you have the lowdown,
give it some thought, and let's paint at your house soon.

Thanks for considering me for a painting party with your friends and family.
I appreciate and value your business.
