It's March - Where Are Your Goals?

Goals?  What Goals?

Wow!  It's March - already!

I made a goal to check on my goals weekly and to have a super serious goal checking meeting with myself the first Monday of every month.

You know you can't really do that if you don't know where you put your goals for the year.  That's why I scheduled weekly and monthly check-ins so I don't forget.
I keep my goals handy at my computer desk so they are never very far away from me as I work on my blog or website.

I set some pretty ambitious goals and so far I'm not exactly on track.  But by checking in regularly, I can take the opportunity to get myself back on track or somewhere close.

In addition to my Motivational Monday post, I added two other regular features to this blog, Workin Wednesday where we'll study the same subject every Wednesday for a month and Famous Artist Friday, where we look at the life and art of a famous or not so famous artist who has passed over the rainbow bridge.

So far, I have only missed one of them.  I missed Famous Artist Friday last week because I had a film crew here at the farm doing a story on all the fun things Jim and I do here.

It was really for a training film for church for a new program they will be rolling out next year and I have been one of the teachers on the trial run so to speak, so they filmed at church and then came out to the farm to get some "behind the scenes" footage.
It was lots of fun, nerve wracking, but fun.

Back to gaol checking.

I wrote out a pretty encompassing goal plan this year.
What I am noticing is I am doing much better on my personal goals than I am on my business goals.
Good for me - not so good for business.

My word of the year is
Finish
so I'm going to have to get with the program.

But I did accomplish two monumental tasks last week.
I planned out the blog posts for the rest of the year for Motivational Monday and Workin Wednesday.
It wasn't hard once I actually sat down with pen and paper in hand,
(ok I did it in notes on my phone, but you get the picture)
For each month I have a theme and then I came up with subjects under that theme and voila' a plan was born.

I'm trying to create a brand that you will notice immediately on social media.  Hopefully you've noticed.

My goal is when you see something like this, you'll know it's from me immediately and hopefully like, comment or share.

Facebook has changed a lot recently removing content like mine unless I pay for an ad.  The one way for you to see my posts is to like comment and share and sharing helps the most.
So if you see a post of mine that you like, I would really appreciate a like, comment or a share.

I'm working on a complete overhaul of my website.
Click HERE to visit it as it is right now.

I'll be adding a monthly membership site that you can purchase by the month (hence the name) for beginning painting lessons.  Each month I'll be focusing on a particular topic or art concept and there will be lessons on that topic for you to work on all month.  It will include drawing as well as painting and there will be work sheets, check lists, shopping lists and product reviews.  It's going to be a lot of fun and I hope any beginning artists out there will come along for the fun.
I'm working as fast as I can to get this super program out to you soon.
I'm really excited about this new addition.
If you know of someone who would like to learn to paint,
or a home school family who would like to add art to their curriculum, this would be perfect for them.
So spread the word!!!

So leave a comment on how you're doing on any goals you set for the year.  You don't have to give all the details, just something like, "I made 3 goals and I am working on them daily, weekly, monthly".  Just something so we can encourage you on!

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have a great day!
