This is the photgraph of a nearby creek I took last winter. Behind it is the sketch for the painting I'm going to show the progression of. The funny thing about showing the progression of a painting is, you have to remember to take a picture as each round is completed. Sometimes I forget that part.
This is after the underpainting and the furthest trees.
I really had a great time with this painting because I used some tourquoise deep in the sky and in the creek. It's not a color I usually use, but I love it so much, I know I'm going to be using it again.
here I'm starting to build up the snow and get some highlights and minor reflections going in the creek.
This is where I forgot to stop and take a photo.
