Day 28 Blue on Blue

Day 28 Blue on Blue

I had a few flowers left from my daughter's wedding this past weekend.
So of course I had to paint them.

Delphiniums and Hydrangeas are so beautifully blue
in every shade imaginable.

I love how all these colors meld from one into another.

They are in my favorite antique green bud vase.

  1. Gorgeous, Sharon. My favorite of your hydrangeas so far. Really nicely painted!

  2. Thanks Meredith. That means so much. I must say this last week has been difficult, to say the least.

  3. The Delphiniums above the Hydrangeas makes for a great composition. You seem to be as good at painting flowers as you are at growing them.

  4. Thanks Fay. I have struggled with flowers, but some I'm better at than others. Hydrangeas are one of my favs to paint. I love the colors in them and how they morph from one to another. I need to work on the delphiniums, but these work pretty well. Thank you so much for taking the time to comment.
